His understanding of the importance of well-chosen, properly fit equipment and clothing was gleaned in his prior career as a professional mountain guide, leading climbing and ski trips around the world. His attention to detail and constant experimentation led him to develop the shop into one of the premier bootfitting shops in the west. Alexis Machovsky was
born and raised in Bear Valley. Lance's younger daughter, she grew up
spending a lot of time both in the Sport Shop and on the hill. Alexis ski
raced for about 10 years and has a deep appreciation and
understanding for the sport and the industry. She also lived in South Lake
Tahoe for two years, where she held positions as both a boot fitter and a
J4/5/6 coach for Heavenly. She came back in 2009 and has continued to expand her knowledge through experience in an effort to bring you quality service and products. Staff Jack only started skiing 4 years ago but already has over 350 days under his belt. Jack lives for skiing, and does back to back seasons here and in a ski shop in Australia. Jack grew up on the sunshine coast, Australia more than 1000 miles to the nearest ski resort. He came to Bear Valley on a holiday in 2004 and loved the lifestyle. He has since dedicated himself to finding the best equipment and products. His goal is to make skiing more comfortable and more efficient. This year he became the regional sales representative for Footworx in Australia. Jack is a Masterfit certified boot fitter. She attended Bret Harte High School in Angels Camp and has been skiing in Bear Valley for as long as she can remember. In fact Mike was the first person to ever fit her for ski boots when she was five years old! One of her passions is riding horses, Hunter/Jumpers to be precise, which she has been doing for 15 years now. She currently attends Columbia College by Sonora where she is working on becoming a Physical Therapist or another job in Sports Medicine. Valerie loves to ski and would like to share her passion and knowledge with you! |
